As infrastructure development and mining investment continue to expand across Africa in 2026, demand for construction machinery is gaining momentum. SDLG has strengthened its presence across the continent through product development, localized operations, customer partnerships, and an expanding service network.
In the first half of 2026, African demand for wheel loaders and excavators increased significantly. SDLG achieved strong growth in wheel loader sales and market share, while its excavator business recorded breakthroughs in several key markets. The company’s strategy focuses on adapting products and services to local working conditions and customer requirements.
In South Africa, SDLG made progress in the high-end construction and mining equipment market. Its first batch of ultra-large excavators was delivered to a major metal mining project, where the machines are being used for demanding, long-hour operations. The local technical service team supported transportation, assembly, commissioning, operator training, and acceptance testing. SDLG also completed the first direct-sales delivery of an E6215H medium excavator in the country, further expanding its excavator product coverage in Southern Africa.
In Kenya, SDLG equipment was showcased at the BUILDEXPO & MINEXPO, where local dealer VECARIAN presented the L956H wheel loader and G9165F motor grader. The exhibition also generated direct commercial interest, with a local contractor placing an order for an L956H.
Meanwhile, SDLG continued to strengthen its after-sales support in Ghana. At Chifeng Gold’s GOLD STAR WASSA site, the company conducted operation and maintenance training for two newly delivered B877F backhoe loaders, helping operators improve equipment handling and maintenance skills.
With continued investment in products, localized services, and customer support, SDLG is expanding its equipment and service capabilities across Africa and building stronger partnerships in the region.
